United for the Gospel Europe offers a broad range of conferences and resources, and we invite you to draw on the options below.
Conferences
When people meet together to hear God’s word, they are met by the Holy Spirit. At our conferences, people receive spiritual refreshment, insights into union with Christ, and renewal for gospel-living and gospel-ministry.
We aim to give heart-felt and contextually relevant expositions from God’s word and, afterwards, to be available to interact personally.

Topics include:
The Gospel of Christ: Mining Its Unlimited Riches
What is the gospel, how does it work, and why is it so important? Far from assuming the gospel, we must seek continually to dig deeper into its rich meanings, to apply it boldly to our lives, and to grow in the conviction that it alone holds the solution to all that ails this world.
Life in Christ: Plugging into Cross-Shaped Living
Conversion to Christ is not an end itself but the beginning of a life in which Christ actually comes to dwell within us — with all his love, joy, peace, and power. The presence of the indwelling Christ is utterly transforming, equipping us to accomplish far more for God’s glory than we could ever ask or think. Life in Christ could not more fulfilling!
The Local Church: Becoming the Earth’s Most Strategic Family
Before asking what a church does, we must first understand what a church is. From Genesis to Revelation, an exalted picture of the local church unfolds before us. It is the family on earth where the fullness of Christ becomes visible and where God is reclaiming all things for his glory. We must cherish, protect, and nurture the local church.
Identity
In our late modern world there is huge interest in, and even greater confusion about, the subject of identity. In our struggle to figure out who, and whose, we are, the Bible presents an answer that transcends political, ethnic, and gender differences. In short, our identity is ‘in Christ’. This little phrase packs a life-changing reality, which is both liberating and fulfilling.
Preaching: Preparing and Presenting Expository Sermons
Preaching is meant to transform human lives, and it is most apt to do so when the preaching is expository. We must learn how to expound the biblical text — drawing out its meaning carefully, unfolding its logic clearly, proclaiming its message passionately, and delivering its application relevantly.
Christ-centered Marriage: Uniting Together for God’s glory
Marital instruction often features practical advice, providing lists of things to do and not to do. Biblically, however, marriage does not start with practice but with a grand perspective — two people bound together for the glory of God. This is what lifts marriage to the heights and provides a basis for everything practical.
Christian Ministry: God’s Power in Human Weakness
According to Paul, Christian ministry is paradoxical — ‘when I am weak, then I am strong’. It is a ministry that turns worldly notions of power upside down. Far from drawing attention to ourselves through flashy speech and accomplishments, we must embody the ‘weakness’ of the cross and thereby become channels of God’s surpassing power.
Suffering: Finding Comfort Amidst Trials
Suffering touches every one of us and always involves loss. It could be the loss of friends or position or health or reputation. According to the Bible, suffering is also — remarkably — the path to true comfort. It is one of the Bible’s most reassuring, and least understood, truths: suffering is used by God to refine us for fruitful ministry.
Women in Ministry: Developing Their Gifts and Ministry
The Lord equips both women and men with spiritual gifts. He does so without partiality, distributing the same gifts to both genders. We must be proactive in training women in our churches for a variety of ministries, shepherding them in the study of God’s word, and unlocking their Spirit-given potential for the work of Christ.
Christ-centered Parenting: Discipling Children in Christ
In our unstable times — plagued by uncertainty about gender, sexuality, identity, and authority — we are often puzzled how to guide our children well. The gospel must be our bedrock. In front of our children, we must model the supernatural, cross-shaped love of Christ. In this way, we will point them to the right and encourage them to thrive.
Evangelism: Seeking and Saving the Lost
In Europe especially, with declining numbers of bible-believing Christians, we must rekindle a passion to take the good news of Jesus Christ to our world. In the book of Acts, the early disciples provide examples of people inflamed by the gospel, sensitive to their culture, and buoyed by the promise of Jesus that the harvest is plentiful.
Studies in the Bible: Examining the Key Themes, Truths and Applications
Lives are changed when we work our way through entire books of the Bible — such as Genesis, Psalms, Isaiah, Daniel, Habakkuk, Mark, John, Romans, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 2 Timothy, Hebrews, or 1 Peter. Listening to God in the order in which he speaks in the biblical books themselves bears special fruit.
Work: Discovering the Reward of Our Secular Calling
Right from the beginning, God created humans for work (Gen 2:15). God himself is a worker (Gen 2:2). Clearly, work is not meant to be drudgery, or simply a means to a better end, such as providing funding for leisure and holidays. Rather, secular employment is a gift from God. We must learn to work for the glory of God.
Discipleship: Carrying the Cross of Jesus
In his last words, Jesus commissioned us to ‘make disciples of all nations’ (Matt 28:19). What is a disciple? And how are disciples made? The book of Mark provides exciting answers, showcasing how Jesus shepherds twelve disciples to be ambassadors of the coming kingdom, and ultimately to embody his image in the world.
The Reliability of the Bible: Examining the Evidence
The Bible is bedrock. It grounds our entire existence. But does it do so reliably? Written thousands of years ago by human authors inspired by God — how trustworthy are the Holy Scriptures? Do we possess the original texts and is the biblical canon accurately preserved? Encouraging answers are set out in both the Bible and church history.
Citizenship: Living in the World but not of the World
Christians dwell on earth as citizens of heaven. How is it possible to live with feet in both domains? Do we favor one domain over the other, either imposing biblical standards on our secular age or withdrawing ourselves from an unrighteous world? The Bible points to a middle ground, teaching us how to dwell simultaneously in both worlds.
Other resources
Seminars
Often it is helpful to minister to select groups — church leaders, seminarians, young adults, married couples, parents, employers, and employees — on subjects tailored especially to them. This may include many consecutive days of teaching and interaction.
Zoom and Online
On longer courses of study — such as instruction on expository preaching — bi-weekly zoom meetings can be provided over the course of a few months.
Councils
The Lord frequently accomplishes more through groups working together than by individuals working separately. We help to facilitate like-minded fellowships of gospel-workers within nations or regions. There is spiritual power in a united ministry, and also a remedy for those who often feel isolated.
Literature
Christians in Europe need sound, inspiring, and relevant biblical literature. We can help to provide the best Christian books and articles, past and present, in native languages.
Websites and Social Media
Fiber-optics are a highway for the world’s information. We want to help church leaders and congregations to use this highway strategically, providing technical assistance to create websites and social media.
